I love Italian food and for me the simplest combinations are the best. This is my favorite pasta sauce and it is really easy to make.
This sauce is made of only 5 ingredient- 5 peeled tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons of pink Himalayan salt
- a dash of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar ( you can substitute this with another sweetener if you want but try not to use processed white sugar)
- handful of basil
Next to that you will need- 2 boles of Mozzarella
- gluten free pasta
These ingredients will make 4 servings
.
Peel your tomatoes. An easy way to do this is by putting them around 30 seconds in boiling water. The peel will burst and will be easy to take off. Put a little bit of water to boil and add the peeled tomatoes. Start to slowly mash them as they get softer. Mash until your tomato sauce reaches the texture you like. Then add the sugar, salt and a bit of black pepper and stir well. When your sauce is almost ready, take it of the heat and cut a handful of basil into small pieces and add them to the tomato sauce. Finally you add the mozzarella in slices.
I used here a gluten free pasta, (of course you can use any type of pasta you prefer) added my sauce and some mozzarella. Buon appetito!

Now spring is in the air, we all feel like we can make a fresh new start. We are cleaning up our houses and the world around us is slowly waking up again.
I started this blog last year under the name MFit Lifestyle but I felt like it needed a fresh new start and a new design. I was looking for something that would better fit my need to share my healthy recipes and fit lifestyle finds with you, so I came up with 'The Fit Munchies'. I will continue to share my favorite healthy and delicious recipes here and update you on everything I discover in the field of health and fitness.
Do you like the new design? And what are your plans this spring?

Happy new year everyone! How did you pass the first days of 2015? Are you motivated and working towards your newly set goals for this year?
The first days are easy, but as we all know it is hard to keep motivated after a few weeks. When the new year is not so ´fresh´ anymore, and more and more people around you are turning back to their old lifestyle, slowly forgetting about their new years resolutions, we need something to keep us going.
To make sure you will stick with your new goals, break your big goal up into smaller goals and give yourself some reward when you reach the smaller goal. What would be a better reward than some new sports clothes?
To keep yourself motivated to go to the gym or for that run, buy yourself a nice new sport outfit you want to show off. Here are some of my favorite ¨Fitness Fashion Finds¨ for this month.
